Abstract: This paper gave a comprehensive review of the studies of the crossing number in China and in the world during the last 60 years, from the following 4 aspects: The crossing number of some particular graphs, the lower bound of crossing numbers, parameters related to crossing numbers, and crossing numbers of other types.
